Becoming a freelance web writer for UNAIDS

The Web Content Team at UNAIDS seeks to expand its roster of experienced freelance
writers for a range of web writing assignments.

UNAIDS global web site disseminates information on a wide range of topics including news
from international HIV conferences and fora, analysis of aspects of the epidemic and country
responses and also reviews of publications and policies. Web stories also feature news from
UNAIDS 10 UN cosponsors as well as government and civil society partners.

Target Audience
Our audiences include community members, policymakers, government, civil society,
researchers, media, advocates, practitioners and researchers. An archive or UNAIDS

You need to
�� hold a recognized qualification in a health-related field, communications,
journalism, international relations or other related field.
�� have experience of technical web writing and editing and independent research
�� be comfortable working to deadline and you have ability to present complex
technical information to different target audiences in a clear, concise manner.

Payment practice
